Moray Welsh pursued a career for many years as a concert cellist and appeared as a soloist with many great orchestras and in many major concert halls such as the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Concertgebeouw. He also occupied the Principal Cello Chair in the London Symphony Orchestra for fifteen years till 2007.
“Having been an amateur artist ( drawings and watercolours ) for many years, I am setting myself a new challenge – to move from music to art ( mainly oil painting ) as my principal discipline.”
